Jung Sky's 9A-JSD part of the flying program in the international airshow "CIAV 2024" at Varazdin Airport
On Saturday and Sunday, 13th and 14th July 2024, Varaždin Airport will host the international airshow CIAV 2024. In the attractive flying program, alongside Rafale fighter jets, the aerobatic team Wings of Storm, the Red Bull fleet from Salzburg, the aerobatic champion from Hungary Zoltan Veres, the World War II bomber B-25 Mitchell, the Croatian Air Force's Black Hawk helicopters, and many others, Jung Sky will also participate with their business jet - Cessna 525A CJ2, registration 9A-JSD.
After several years of pause, the largest aviation event in this part of Europe will once again offer aviation enthusiasts an extraordinary experience and a very interesting and eventfull program.
The co-organizers of this year's CIAV are the City of Varaždin and Varaždin County, and the event will be held under the high patronage of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, and the Ministry of Tourism.
"Varaždin has always been a breeding ground for top flying personnel, and this upcoming airshow only confirms that," said County Prefect Anđelko Stričak in the official announcement of the event. "Once again, the people of Varaždin and their guests will be able to enjoy the top flying performances of our participants, plus - the visitors will have the opportunity to see the pride of the Croatian Air Force: the aircraft Rafale. Therefore, I invite all our citizens to this year's CIAV to witness the flying acrobatics and see what our military and police have at their disposal."
The Mayor of Varaždin, dr. sc. Neven Bosilj, also emphasized that Varaždin Airport deserves an airshow of this magnitude. "Last year we organized an airshow, but this year we will organize CIAV, which is a significantly higher level of event. This will be an international aviation event where we will offer an super attractive flying program, but also lot of interesting content on the ground."
All information about the upcoming airshow can be found on the official "CIAV Airshow Croatia" website.
By way of reminder, after the renovation of taxiways and aprons, Varaždin Airport recently boasted about a refurbished terminal building. The roof has been repaired, the installations upgraded, and the premises in the terminal building have been renovated and are ready for rent. A space for pilots has also been arranged, providing a representative area for rest, refreshment, and handling administrative tasks.
Jung Sky one of the partners of Varaždin Airport
One of the hangars at the airport has been rented by the domestic airline Jung Sky, specializing in private charter flights throughout Europe. Recognizing the economic and tourism potential and the benefits that this specific part of the aviation industry can bring to Varaždin Airport, as well as to the City of Varaždin and the Varaždin County, Jung Sky has established a base in Varaždin for maintenance and complex services of jet aircraft types Cessna 525, 525A, and 525B. This, of course, includes their own fleet.
