Flying private vs
commercial flights
Imagine you are traveling from Zagreb to Milan with four business partners to a meeting scheduled for Monday at 10 a.m. and ending at about 4 p.m. Here are the actual scenarios of taking a commercial flight and flying private.
Travelling by regular flights
You have to leave on Sunday because there are no flights on Monday morning. At the airport, you have to go through the check-in and security procedures, which usually translates to a long waiting time and requires you to arrive at the airport at least two hours before your flight. There is no direct flight, and you have to catch a connecting flight. You have to spend the night in Milan because you arrived a day earlier. After the meeting, you have to rush to the airport to catch a flight home. Once again, you might have to spend the night there and find a flight in the morning. Each of these actions just adds to the total cost, for you and your colleagues traveling to that meeting.
The advantage of flying private
Arrive at the airport on Monday, ten minutes before the flight. As there is no check-in procedure, and you do not have to wait before boarding the plane. After an hour-long pleasant flight, you land in Milan and arrive at the meeting with your colleagues at 10 a.m. After the meeting, the aircraft and crew are ready. They are waiting for you, regardless of whether the meeting ends earlier or later than expected. You will be on your way at 4:45 p.m. and arriving home at 5:45 p.m. Consequently, you save time and money.
