One thing that goes hand in hand with enjoying the holiday festivities in December, is thinking about where to go skiing after the holidays or maybe even before Christmas. Innsbruck airport (IATA: INN; ICAO: LOWI), locally also known as Kranebitten Airport and the largest international airport in Tyrol in western Austria, has always been one of the most popular choices of our 'passengers-skiers' during winter time.
Besides Innsbruck, ski enthusiasts will be very happy to hear that Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc airport (IATA: CMF; ICAO: LFLB) which, thanks to its network of regular shuttles, offers a quick and easy access to some of the largest, most spectacular and most prestigious ski resorts in the French Alps - has recently been added to Jung Sky's flight operations map. If in need of a 'where-to-go inspiration', here are two articles from Snowplaza about ski resorts that are very close to both airports:
- 11 ski resorts that are easy to access from Chambéry airport
- 13 ski resorts that are easy to reach from Innsbruck airport
